Richard, VP Product Operations, is one of our Manchester-based team members at Bally’s. His journey has taken him behind the scenes of some of the industry’s most exciting innovations, giving him a front row seat to creativity and progress.
Since 2020, Richard has served as a juror for the EGR Marketing and Innovation Awards, reviewing submissions from some of the most creative and forward-thinking teams in the industry! We sat down with Richard to hear about his path at Bally’s, the highlights that make his work meaningful, and what motivates him to keep raising the bar every day.
Learning, Leading, Inspiring
His journey at Bally’s began with the acquisition of Degree 53 by Bally’s in October 2021, initially focusing on the North American Sports product. Since then, the team has evolved to work across a variety of Bally’s products and brands. “There are so many experts here at Bally’s. I’ve learned from some amazing people, and if I can pass even a little of that experience on to those around me, then happy days!”, he mentioned.
At Bally’s, Love to Lead means taking pride in your achievements while also passing on what you’ve learned and helping those around you excel – and Richard is a living example of that.
With over 15 years of experience in iGaming, staying close to industry trends is something Richard still genuinely enjoys. That’s exactly how he continues to excel in his field and truly enjoys what he does. “The innovation, especially around AI in this year’s entries, was exciting. I learn something new each time – that’s what makes it fun!”
Words of Wisdom for Aspiring Jurors
When asked what advice he would give to someone who’d like to become a juror one day, he replied: “Give it a go! It’s a unique opportunity and allows you to contribute to a celebration of the industry and the organizations within. I was fortunate to be invited to judge after working with a number of operators and suppliers over the years. The process is both challenging and rewarding”
