Embracing the Future: How Bally’s is Using AI to Make Work Smarter and More Fun

-

At Bally’s, we’re all about leading the way, which is why our team lives by the motto “Love to Lead.” We’re always pushing for innovation and forward-thinking in everything we do. As a top player in the gambling and casino scene, Bally’s is all about staying flexible and grabbing every chance for sustainable growth. This drive means that our employees get to dive into the exciting world of AI, exploring all the cool benefits it can bring.

Another value that’s within our DNA is being “Always Ready.” This means we’re super keen on bringing in AI-powered tools. Our Chief Information Officer, Jo Midolo, recently talked about this in a company update, saying that while some folks might still be unsure about Gen AI, our team is All In, ready to use these cutting-edge tools to make work life easier and more efficient.

“At Bally’s, we believe in being ahead of the curve and taking on the challenges that come with big opportunities.” – Jo Midolo, CIO

In-House Tool

The first AI tool we rolled out for our team is BallysGPT, our very own large language model AI assistant. Since its debut in November 2023, BallysGPT has gained a bunch of new features. It can handle everything from processing documents to supporting multiple OpenAI models. The best part? All the info shared with BallysGPT stays within our internal systems, keeping sensitive data secure. We’re all about exploring what AI can do across all our departments, from office work to software development.

We kicked things off with some AI learning modules on our in-house platform, B HIVE. These cover everything from prompt engineering and AI in marketing to using AI tools responsibly. With these resources, our team is ready to take full advantage of AI’s transformative power.

By adding top-notch AI features to our productivity toolkit, we’re aiming to change the game when it comes to collaboration, automate boring tasks, and spark a culture of innovation and creativity. These tools help with everyday stuff like writing emails and managing calendars, as well as bigger tasks like creating presentations and pulling together info from different sources. This way, our employees can spend more time on exciting projects and high-impact activities.
