The Customer Service Manager - Japan reports to the Head of Customer Operations - Asia and is employed by Simplicity Hong Kong Ltd.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Champion the Japanese customer service team to provide an outstanding customer experience and always strive to go that extra step.
  • Bring an inspiring style of leadership and energy that motivates and aligns the team through clear communication & team development.
  • Execute customer service strategy on daily basis.
  • Constantly strive to improve efficiency and customer experience through a combination of process improvement and optimisation of customer support tools underpinned by data.
  • Assist with improving customer support tools, by ensuring proper escalation of issues & new features through the appropriate channels.
  • Measure, report, and recommend of actions to higher management.
  • Maintain a performance culture, through clear KPIs, performance reviews and pro-active improvements.
  • Manage / lead on key projects across the business where asked.
  • Ensure the right calibre of staff are recruited, and in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Native or bilingual level of Japanese and fluent in English
  • Strong leadership skill
  • Analytical and detailed oriented
  • Managerial experience
  • Ambitious, goals-oriented, organized, proactive, communicative, big-picture view

Preferred:

  • Customer Support experience
  • International experience and mindset
  • Good Excel & PPT skills
  • Solid understanding of the psychology behind consumer behaviour


The above duties should give an overall picture of the employee’s day to day responsibilities but should in no way be deemed to be an exhaustive list, additional, related, duties may be assigned by the manager in line with business exigencies and continuity.

Working Hours: 09:30-18:30 or 10:30-19:30, Monday-Friday
