Oleksandra took full advantage of this opportunity, combining work with travel to immerse herself in the vibrant culture and breath taking landscapes of India. “My fiancé is from India, so it was a great time to visit his family and travel around,” she shares.

Oleksandra’s month in India wasn’t just about exploring a new country; it was an opportunity for personal and professional growth. “Flexibility breeds creativity,” she notes. “A change of scenery can spark fresh ideas, and working from a new environment enhances your perspective.” Her experience in India also reinforced her appreciation for work-life balance and adaptability.
Balancing work calls and closing roles while immersed in the vibrant energy of Indian cities was an exciting experience. “While working across different time zones, I adjusted my sleep schedule to make it easier to work late hours. I also made sure to get enough rest and incorporated relaxing activities throughout the day to stay productive during work hours.”
The Indian Food Experience
When asked about her culinary highlights in India, Oleksandra was all smiles. “Indian food was undoubtedly one of the highlights of this trip,” she says. “Before visiting India, I assumed Indian cuisine was mostly about curries and naan, but the sheer variety of dishes I encountered completely changed my perspective. The flavours, textures, and regional diversity were on another level!” Though it’s impossible to pick just one favourite, Oleksandra was particularly fond of Pani Puri, Pav Bhaji, and Chocolate Paan, which she describes as unforgettable.
Looking ahead, Oleksandra is eager to continue making the most of the Flexiblock benefit. “Next, I’d love to explore more of Asia—perhaps a destination like Thailand or Vietnam!”
